The Science bit - Ancient traditions
Both methods are incorporated within the Home Detox Box and they both are explained below and how they can achieve the same fundamentally result from a different perspective.
The Science bit is the balance between Acid or Alkaline within your body.
You can measure your level of acid or alkaline within the body by your pH level. Did you know that the pH of your body affects every aspect of your health?
Your pH levels regulate, effect, and control practically everything in your body. When your body is pH balanced, it is full of life literally.
What you are actually measuring is the level of electrolytes within your body. These essential electrolytes are vitally important because they are what all your cells and especially your nerve, heart, and muscles use to maintain voltages across their cell membranes. They carry electrical impulses for muscle contractions and communicate messages to all of your cells. Your kidneys are the organ that work to keep the electrolyte concentrations in your blood constant. If you have a low level of electrolytes you are much more susceptible to ailments and will have a lowered immune system.
You can measure your level of electrolytes by measuring your pH level, via a saliva or a urine test. The pH result will tell you if you are low on electrolytes and need to change your diet and add in more alkalising fresh fruit and vegetables to boost your reserves. A good reading would be around pH 6.75 to 7.5 this is the optimal reading.
The way a pH level is measured is by what your body is literally throwing away. If you have enough electrolytes for your body then the body can throw some away, The body will have reading around the pH 6.75 to 7.5. The electrolytes cannot be stored in the body and have to be constantly up dated.
If your body does not have enough of these sparky electrolytes then it will be keeping and using any it can get and your reading will be in the acid range anything below the pH 7. For example from the range pH 4.5 - 5.75. This is very acidic and you must take serious steps to correct this acidity. If your pH reading is in this range, your body is 50 to 100 times too acidic. An internal terrain like this is poison to your cells. Immediately begin to amend your diet by having alkalizing foods such as vegetable juices.
If you find yourself in the range of pH 6.0 - 6.5, your body is acidic. 5 to 10 times too acidic. Making alterations to your diet by adding in more fruit and vegetables.

Everything living on our planet needs a pH balanced state so it can function as it was designed. Science has proven that fish need a properly balanced environment to survive in our lakes and sea’s. Trees in our forests can only grow in properly balanced soils; just as people can only stay healthy if the body has a balance between its levels of Acid and Alkaline. Our optimal pH range is between 6.75 and 7.0.
The fluids, the blood and all the delicate tissues in your body must remain Alkaline for us to be healthy and active. Every metabolic process from breathing, to digestion, to the production of energy, all create acid as a by-product, therefore your body is always working to maintain the between Acid and Alkaline. When you become too Acidic, your body becomes stressed and vulnerable to a whole host of health problems. You will most likely have symptoms such as low energy, fatigue, excess weight, poor digestion, aches and pains, and even more serious disorders. Your body becomes pH imbalanced and overly Acidic due to one or all of the following:
• Ingestion of Acids (acidic diet)
• Creation of Acids (toxicity and stress)
• Improper elimination of Acids (mineral depletion)
The good news is that if you’ve suffered the negative impact of an overly Acidic body, you can regain your health and your pH balance and therefore your life.
The process of rebalancing your body begins with a proper diet and nutrition. This includes firstly cleaning out the waste and eating more and more alkalizing foods and hydrating properly with lots of pure clean water.

Therapeutic fasting has always been an important part of Taoist training regimens. Masters made their students fast for prolonged periods to purify body and clarify mind before introducing them to the most advanced techniques.
Pythagoras required his students to fast for 40 days to purify body and mind prior to receiving his highest teachings.
Plato and Aristotle, whose thought forms the very basis of Western philosophy, fasted regularly to enhance physical health and stimulate mental powers.
In the Bible it mentions that Jesus himself fasted frequently, sometimes up to 40 days at a time and the subject of fasting is noted 74 times.
Buddha also is known for Fasting and using this universal natural response to sickness and debility.
All animals except modern man fast instinctively when sick. Unfortunately society is more used to putting something in the body to try and cure rather than to help the body remember how to cure and heal itself.
Today, research shows fasting alleviates autoimmune disease, atherosclerosis, diabetes, epilepsy, leaky gut, obesity, pancreatitis, and chemical poisoning (PCB and DDT). In My own experience I have seen how fasting slows aging, improves liver function, improves mental functioning, and alleviates, arthritis, allergies, depression and numerous other aliments.
How does fasting work?
Fasting triggers a wonderful cleansing process that reaches right down to each and every cell and tissue in the body.
Within 24 hours of stopping all solid food intake, enzymes stop entering the stomach and go instead into the intestines and into the bloodstream, where they remove and break down all sorts of waste matter, including dead and damaged cells, unwelcome microbes, metabolic wastes, and pollutants.
All organs and glands get a much-needed and well-deserved rest, during which their tissues are purified and rejuvenated and their functions balanced and optimised. The entire alimentary canal (stomach, small intestines, large intestine/colon) is swept clean, and what comes out the lower end will amaze and rather disgust the first-time fasters enough to make fasting and colon cleansing a life-long habit.
Perhaps the most important benefit of fasting is that it thoroughly cleans and purifies the bloodstream.
Blood is responsible for delivering nutrients and oxygen to every cell in the body, and it must also carry away metabolic wastes from the cells for excretion in the kidneys and lungs. Blood is also the body's immunological watchman, circulating white blood cells, enzymes and other immunity factors are on 24-hour-a-day 'search-and-destroy' missions against invaders.
Dirty blood simply cannot perform these functions properly. As a result, malnutrition sets in, resistance plummets, toxemia becomes a chronic condition, and germs have a field day invading your most valuable tissues.
Unless you live a very pure life far from civilization and avoid all dietary temptations, your blood and other tissues are bound to accumulate toxins and generally lose their functional vitality.
If you don't eliminate these toxins on a regular basis, toxemia gets worse and worse, until the body cannot stand it any longer and either purges itself spontaneously in form of diarrhea, acne, pimples, boils, 'liver spots', foul perspiration, body odour, bad breath, and so forth, or else it simply gives up the battle and succumbs to cancer, tuberculosis and other fatal conditions.
